Well the excitement of Lanzarote has now passed and all the lads are back on track after taking some well deserved time out. For this month at least, we are enjoying keeping fit without the pressures. It won't last long as the Wasdale Training is set to start but this past couple of weeks have been about the crack!
Sunday started with a leisure ride to Annie's cafe at Greystoke for the warmest welcome of tea, cake and blankets to snuggle up in! Soon after this we were in Granny's at Pooley Bridge for another pot of tea and their gorgeous gingerbridge cake. This was possibly the nicest Sunday ride I have ever had - but I don't think we'll be allowed anything similar for a while.
The recent nice weather has also helped the lake to warm up a bit and on Jubilee Monday, we dipped in Ullswater for a lovely swim. This marks the start of our Wednesday afternoon swims, there's nothing quite like open water swimming and the freedom of the Lake.
Phil has been on his Genesis Fortitude in the Fells and is happy as he's missed mountain biking; I'm sure that part of his Wasdale training will involve a bit of off road riding.
That's all for now, it makes a nice change than to update you on the 30 week plan! Happy Cycling and hopefully see you in the shop soon.
