Saviour of the day!

Yesterday was Greystoke Mini Fun Triathlon so Phil was busy officiating the event as referee.  Myself and Dave decided to have a hilly cycle for a few hours.  Apart from the wind, it was great.  I was on my lovely Foil... an hour or so into the ride I had a bit of a mechanical with a loose screw!

I wrongly rode along ignoring it until it jammed and stopped me being able to freely cycle along.  With no tools and Phil otherwise engaged, we decided to call Jimbob to come to the rescue!  Which he did, promptly in his soft top... and Aldi tool box that I don't think he has ever opened!  Plan B was to ask a local.

Thankfully for us, a friendly electrician with a van kitted out with tools completed our pitstop and I was back on the road in no time.  Here is Mr Grundy.... THANK YOU for saving my bike and allowing me to get back on and finish my ride.  Thanks Jimbob too for coming to the rescue to quickly, but it's safe to say you are ace as a PT, not so good as a mobile mechanic!
