What a perfect view

Saturday morning is Phils Ironman swim session so I walk with the dog before work. This morning's stride along Beacon Edge was perfect, the view of Blencathra was awesome... I had to get a photo. Not quite doing it justice here but I hope you like it.

The excuse for this newspiece is weather.

It's what we've all been waiting for: Proper crisp days, but not too extreme to get out and enjoy it.  There's no real need to exchange your bike for the turbo at the moment, as long as you wrap up warm with plenty of layers.  Craft Base Layers are my favourite, obviously available in store and on line!

If you're road biking, I would stick to the main roads.  I've had two customers in the shop this week who've slipped off due to black ice, not seriously injured thankfully.  When I ride on the main road, I also have my back light pulsing all the time too, better to be seen - especially earlier in the morning's as I've noticed not all drivers defrost their screens well enough to see everything.

The Altura Night Vision vest is Phil's item of choice - ask him about it in the shop. He's lit up like a Christmas tree thanks to all the Scotchlite and as it's just a thin vest, you can wear it over anything.  RRP £40 but if you pay us a visit, you can order one in for £35 as a newspiece special!

Tomorrow's training cycle ride is a 4 hour one, we're going to be setting off from the shop at 08:30 so the order of the morning will be over shoes, winter gloves and balaclava!
