Well the boy's - and girl - were victorious!
After 30 weeks of training, with a bit of illness and plenty of stresses and strains on the way, all 5 ACTCers made it to the startline and posted some superb times for Lanzarote Ironman 2012.
The day was Sunny and warm with a heavy breeze to contend with. This is dubbed the hardest Ironman in the world; the cycle route has some mega hills, so combined with the heat, was a massive challenge for all participants.
They've certainly all earned themselves a good rest but will soon have to turn their attention to the next challenge - Wasdale Half, which is at the end of September. Not one's to go for the easy option, the Wasdale half is a brand new event already claiming to be the toughest in the World! Wish them luck!
Congratulations then to James Pittam, Dave Simpson, Phil Graham, Jon Turner and Bex Tiffen.
