The first of these pads, made from 2mm-thick foam, is placed over the metacarpal area, while the second, made from 3mm-thick gel, is positioned to protect the ulnar nerve and avoid any pressure points. These real rubber pads act as a buffer between your hands and the rigors of the road and trail. The Aksium Gradient gloves don't compromise breathability despite their vibration-dampening ability. On the back of the hand, a special supple mesh fabric provides excellent breathability, while allowing the glove to fit, well, like a glove.
